This beautifully aged piece features prominent hand-carved curved scroll designs around all four sides. The deep, rounded scroll-like forms create a strong sculptural appearance, while additional carved detailing between and around these motifs reflects the craftsmanship of the original architectural piece.
The wood retains its naturally aged brown colour with remnants of old faded and chipped paint. Traces of turquoise/green and other old colour tones remain in selected areas, particularly around the lower section and within the carvings. The colour has naturally worn away over time, revealing the wood underneath and creating an authentic distressed appearance.
Visible wood grain, colour loss, scratches, worn edges, old marks, small cracks, uneven surfaces, and weathered areas are preserved as part of its genuine vintage character rather than being refinished or concealed.
A round aged iron plate with a central pin is fitted into the top section, allowing a suitable pillar candle to be securely positioned. The piece may also be styled with a suitable plant pot or lightweight decorative object.
