The piece features a beautifully sculptural form with prominent symmetrical scroll carvings on both sides, flowing leaf and foliage-inspired detailing through the centre, and a small floral-style carved motif along the lower section. The upper portion is finished with a deeply carved repeating border that adds further dimension and character to the piece.
Its surface retains a beautiful natural aged wood colour, with visible grain, carving marks, worn areas and naturally developed tonal variations. Subtle traces of old greenish colour can also be seen within selected recessed carved areas, adding to its naturally aged appearance.
