The piece features a beautiful square architectural form with hand-carved ornamental detailing across the front and sides. Its layered borders and traditional carved patterns give the piece a strong sculptural character while preserving the craftsmanship of the original old wood.
The wood retains its natural aged brown colour and original weathered appearance. Traces of old faded colour are still visible in selected carved areas, where the original colour has naturally worn away over time. Visible grain, darker areas, worn edges, carving marks, surface variations, and small natural cracks further enhance its authentic vintage character.
A round aged iron plate with a central metal pin is fitted into the top section. The pin allows a suitable pillar candle to be securely positioned on the plate. A suitable plant pot may also be placed over the plate, allowing the piece to be styled as both a candle holder and decorative planter.
